One Shot For Kinley - Beau Brooks

‘I’m going for my first day Mum!’ I shouted to her. Before she had time to answer I had put my earphones in and was dancing on the way to school. I checked nobody was around before I started dancing by the way. Lets just say my dancing skills arent the best. I was really getting into the song when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to find an extremely hot guy stood there. He had brown hair and piercing green eyes that seemed like they were staring into my soul. I quickly pulled me earphones out embarrassed. This should of been amazing, meeting a hot guy on my third day in Melbourne but no. He just saw my attempt at dancing and now I look as red as a raspberry. Great.

‘Eurm, nice dancing?’ He said. He couldnt help but hold his laughter as he suddenly had a massive fit of giggles leaving me stood there with my face burning.

‘You done yet?’ I asked him getting a bit annoyed.

‘Oh my god yeah. Sorry, I’m Beau.’ he replied with the cutest smile.

‘It’s fine, as long as we never speak of this again. And I’m Kinley’ I smiled. He seemed so nice. ‘Anyway, why were you tapping on my shoulder in the first place?’ suddenly feeling very curious. 

‘Oh, well I live next door to the house Im assuming is yours because I saw you come out of it before and I wandered of you needed any help around Penola?’ he replied seeming a bit scared as to what my reply would be. 

‘Yeah sure, why not?’ I had the biggest grin on my face. Out of all the girls he could of chosen to hang out with today he chose me.

1 Week Later 

Me and Beau were getting on really well. We got closer and closer every day and he stuck up for me whenever one of the ‘popular’ girls made rude remarks towards me and started giving me hate. The thing was that I was starting to like Beau more than a friend to be honest. In fact I was certain I liked him more than a friend. 

Beau had walked me home after we had been hanging out at the skate park for a few hours. We were on my doorstep when we gave eachother our usual goodbye hug. But instead of walking back over to his house Beau stayed there and just stared at me. 

‘Beau? Are you okay?’ I asked confused.

‘Well, look. I know it’s only been a week but I really like you. As in more than a friend. So would you want to go out with me sometime?’ He said nervously.

‘Of course Beau!’ I replied. I had the biggest smile plastered on my face. I gave him a cheeky kiss on the lips before saying bye and going back upstairs to my room. 

‘This week has been perfect’ I muttered to myself.
